Use the following CSS-Styles to get most out of Auto Grow.

Hide the vertical scrollbar that sometimes appears in Webkit while resizing:

textarea {
    overflow-y: hidden;
}

Hide the resize handle in Webkit:

textarea {
    resize: none;
}

Animate the height via CSS-Transforms:
