Alt Text Generator

Automatically generate image Alt Text descriptions using the alttext.ai API.

Requirements

This plugin requires Craft CMS 4.5.0 or later, and PHP 8.0.2 or later.

Installation

You will need an account and set up an API key with (https://www.alttext.ai)[https://alttext.ai/?gr_pk=Zj92&gr_uid=L6Oa] in order to use this plugin.

You can install this plugin from the Plugin Store or with Composer.

From the Plugin Store

Go to the CraftCMS plugin store and search for Alt text generator

With Composer

Open your terminal and run the following commands:

# go to the project directory
cd /path/to/my-project.test

# tell Composer to load the plugin
composer require dispositiontools/craft-alt-text-generator

# tell Craft to install the plugin
./craft plugin/install alt-text-generator
